How to customise sneakers - transform your shoes!
Take a pair of white canvas sneakers and turn them into something unique!
Using acrylic paint, pens and fabric medium you can create something rather special and totally personal to you. I so enjoyed doing these shoes and so far my feet haven't turned red!!

If you want to see the review of the Ohuhu pens follow this link: ua-cam.com/video/LUrIlrjdLTs/v-deo.html

Every week I share a tip, trick or technique I wish I had known when I started painting, so if you enjoyed this please like, comment and subscribe. Or if you have a watercolour problem, let me know and maybe I can help?

Inside Whiteknights Studio Trail 2024

So what do artists do when they aren’t in the studio or wafting round galleries? They stand in school halls... and what a smart school hall! Leighton Park in Reading is a Quaker boarding school, founded in 1890 and they made us super welcome as part of the Whiteknights Studio Trail (the trail has been going 24 years) I was with Tom Cartmill ( he has a piece in the RA Summer Exhibition too) and ...
How good are the new dual tipped acrylic pens from Ohuhu?

I liked the Ohuhu paint markers I had tried so much that I went out and bought these dual tipped markers and then a new version came out. Were they really any different, I wondered? Or is it the same pen in fancy new packaging for more money?? Let's swatch them out and see whether they are new and improved or whether it is a con - and spoiler alert - they are much improved!! I really like the o...

Hi Liz, I only found you today when looking for ruling pen instructions of all things (It helped btw) , and can't understand why you haven't come up on my you tube suggestions before. I follow a few watercolour artists, anyway so glad I found you. I am just a hobbyist, not great at it but I love doing it so I don't care. 😀 I have Rosa Gallery paints and I love them, they are such good value, I really enjoy them. Find them similar to Roman Szmal, which I also love, another very affordable good artist quality brand. I've watched a few of your videos today, loved them and also pressed 'Like' for each one I watched after watching your video regarding You tube statistics. Hope it helps x

Thank you! Ahhh, i finely got it, dyes are the liquid off the pigment, therefore, thinner and fade. Whereas, paint has the pigment, therefore, more lightfast because the actual substance is the color, is this correct? Your videos are so informative. Love watching you create!

Hi again, Liz! I don't think you saw my original comment on this video, but you HAVE been super busy lately! Just a follow-up - my order from the Ukraine came last week - I placed it on May 29th and it got here on June 10th - not bad at all, I'd say! Well-wrapped with a dot card of 4 colors (unfortunately, 3 of them were for colors in the set I already had, but it was a nice thought!). The new colors are great - I will swatch them and post it on FB. A couple of great greens and carbon red and more! I messaged the seller how much I appreciated her shipping quickly and how much I liked them - and she messaged back a sweet message in return - very cool to be in contact with someone in Ukraine and be able to support a small business there. I will definitely order again!

I think this is something you leave at the last case scenario I mean it seems to make painting more complicated than it needs to be you got to like measure everything you got to clean you got to turn it sideways it's just way too much and from the looks of it it doesn't It looks like it just works for a brief moment at a time so you're probably going to take a very long time inking something with this or painting.

it is certainly not pure watercolour any longer and would be classed as mixed media, but it is one way of solving the issue of layering on a watercolour canvas. Most artists find that the lack of absorption means glazing is very tricky.
